OK! - The Apprentice: Elizabeth McKenna played a SURPRISING role in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement
28 June 2018
The Apprentice star, Elizabeth McKenna, may not have made it as Lord Sugar's business partner, but she has still left her mark since being fired.
Despite the fact her flowers didn't cut it during interview week, the eccentric florist has since revealed that she played a surprising role in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement.
Apparently, one of the 39-year-old's bouquets was handed to the prince during his first royal visit to Nottingham with the Suits actress.
Speaking about the "fabulous moment", she told The Mirror Online: "I was very, very proud to have one piece of that day. It was immense."
As well as making bouquets for the royals, the fired contestant went on to reveal that since appearing on the show she has had a lot of attention from members of the public.
Speaking about when This Morning presenter, Rylan Clark-Neal branded her his 'Woman of the Week', she added: "You know what - that's incredibly flattering.
"My phone single was going down and down and all of a sudden my friends were like 'Rylan's seen you on this morning'.
"It's incredibly flattering. That day was about Meghan and Harry and our city but what Rylan has done, put me on This Morning as his 'Woman of the Week', it was just brilliant.
"I really did love it and I’m grateful and I thank him for that."
Elizabeth left The Apprentice on Wednesday night alongside fellow contestants, Joanna Jarjue and Michaela Wain.
She clashed with several of Lord Sugar's advisors in the interview process including Linda Platt, who claimed she wasn't being "very respectful".
Claude Litner praised her work ethic but added that she was "bossy" and a "trauma" to work with.
The BBC contestant is also rumoured to be going on the all female Celebrity Big Brother house when it launches in 2018.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she teased: “I would consider it.”
